So okay i’m reading Super Sad True Love Story and it’s fantastic but I have nobody to talk about it with so here. I started out with a sort of affectionate feeling for Lenny because he just seemed so sad but now a couple chapters in, I think he makes me uncomfortable. Like, I still take pity on him but now mostly for the fact that he is desperate enough for human compassion that he’s willing to make Eunice his ‘reluctant lover’ against her own will, if need be. like he’s grasping at her as a last resort to save himself from the inevitability of his own aging, and eventually, dying. Hm. Start a book club with me i’m superfun to talk to when it comes to.books. \m/
